Tiredness was cancer:
A 40 year old male Caucasian patient presented with a major complaint of stress and lethargy for 18 months, but no other specific symptoms. He had received a routine medical check up from his regular general practitioner in the preceding month and nothing abnormal had been revealed. Scanning with the EIS revealed a number of minor abnormalities, obvious signs of stress manifest by changes in the sympathetic nervous system and a generalised and marked increase in lymph nodes. Follow up T Cell testing revealed an abnormal pattern, which was confirmed at biopsy as being a proliferative lymph node condition (lymphoma). The condition, would not have been diagnosed until it was considerably more advanced had it not been for the EIS.

An alcohol problem:
This 45 year old lady failed to include the true nature of her alcohol problem in her history (alcoholics tend to hide the truth!), but the EIS showed severe chronic inflammatory effects in the liver, elevated Triglycerides & Cholesterol ratio, cardiac and vascular changes and generalised decreased vascularity of many parts of the brain. The patient was a successful businessman, who had experienced weight loss, work related stress, indigestion and headaches despite training regularly at the gym and on the road. Obesity:
The EIS is an excellent way to vividly reveal to patients the effect that their obesity is having on the different systems including the brain (chronic inflammatory changes), heart (plaque & decreased cardiac function), vascular system (carotid, coronary and peripheral arterial narrowing), spine (fat pressure on nerves), kidneys and many other areas. Cancer:
He was a fit trainer in his forties, who taught others the need to attain a healthy life style. He decided to follow his own advice & have a health check.
